Attachment-Based Parent Coaching in DFW
Your child’s behavior is communication. Let’s learn their language together.
Attachment-based coaching for parents, led by Dr. Alaina M. Kroes, raising neurodivergent children.
Build a deeper connection with your child, and be gentler with yourself along the way.
You might be here because...
- You’ve read all the books and tried all the strategies, and something still isn’t clicking
- Meltdowns, shutdowns, or refusals leave you exhausted and second-guessing yourself
- Your own childhood didn’t give you a map for this, and old patterns show up
- You love your child fiercely, and some days you’re running on empty
What is attachment-based coaching?
Children, including neurodivergent children, thrive when they feel safe, seen, and understood by the adults who care for them. Attachment-based coaching focuses on the relationship at the center of your family, rather than trying to fix your child’s behavior.
Together we work on:
- Understanding your child’s behavior as communication. What is this moment telling you about their needs, their nervous system, and their sense of safety?
- Regulating yourself first.Calm is contagious, and it’s much easier to find when you have support of your own. Together we will learn co-regulation techniques.
- Repairing after hard moments.Every parent has them. Repair is what builds trust.
- Honoring your child’s neurotype. We work with how your child’s brain works, rather than against it.
- Noticing your own story.Your history shapes how you respond under stress, and understanding it gives you more choice in the moment.
Why work with a licensed psychologist?
Coaching with a licensed psychologist means your support is grounded in clinical training, developmental science, and an understanding of neurodivergence, attachment, trauma, and family systems. You get a warm, collaborative partner who also has the depth of expertise to recognize when something more is going on.
